Current Available Dogs
Here are some of our wonderful rescue dogs currently looking for their forever homes:
Max
Meet Max! Max is an incredibly handsome small Pitbull mix who came to us from a rural shelter in West Virginia. He arrived with visible scars and old wounds on his neck, ears, and legs clear signs that his past life was not an easy one. Whatever he has been through, it has only highlighted just how incredibly resilient and forgiving this sweet boy truly is. From the moment he arrived, Max has shown nothing but a happy, loving spirit. He is a genuinely good-natured dog who enjoys people, seeks out affection, and has already started making new doggy friends. He absolutely loves to snuggle and would love nothing more than to sleep in bed with his human! Shortly after coming into our care, Max was also found to have an abscess on the side of his face. He has been seen by a veterinarian and is currently receiving treatment and healing well. Max is the kind of dog who reminds us why rescue matters. Despite his past, he continues to trust, love, and move forward with hope. Now he just needs someone to give him the life he has always deserved safe, stable, and full of love. We are hoping Max finds a home where he will be cherished every single day, because this boy is ready for his fresh start. If you are interested in this cutie, please fill out the adoption application found at www.countryclubkennels.org, or feel free to call us at 540-788-3559.
Miley
Meet Miley! Miley is a beautiful young girl who recently came to us from a rural shelter in West Virginia. She is incredibly sweet, playful, and polite, and has been a joy since the moment she arrived. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and people alike, making friends easily wherever she goes. Miley walks beautifully on a leash and carries herself with a gentle, good-natured spirit in everything she does. We are not entirely sure of her breed mix, but our best guess is that she may be some type of Australian Shepherd or Heeler mix. Regardless of her genetics, what's clear is that she is an intelligent, loving girl who would make a wonderful addition to any family. Miley is ready to find her forever home could you be the one to give her the chance she deserves? If you are interested in Miley, please fill out the adoption application found at www.countryclubkennels.org, or feel free to call us at 540-788-3559.
Whitney
Meet Whitney! Whitney came to us from a rural shelter in West Virginia, and this strikingly gorgeous Husky mix, estimated to be between 1 and 2 years old, is as sweet as she is beautiful. She absolutely adores playing with other dogs and is fantastic with peoplemaking friends wherever she goes. When we take her to adoption events, she is a big hit and loves to get belly rubs from the small children. Whitney is also incredibly athletic and would make an amazing hiking or adventure companion. We can't wait to see Whitney find a home where she can thrive and share her zest for life. Could you be the one to give this athletic, playful girl the chance she deserves? If you are interested in Whitney, please fill out the adoption application found awww.countryclubkennels.org, or feel free to call us at 540-788-3559.
Iggy
Meet Iggy! Iggy's story began in the mountains of West Virginia, where he and his two sisters were found living as strays. They came to the Chance Foundation as just five-month-old puppies, and while one of his sisters, Ivy, has found her forever home, Iggie is still patiently waiting for his turn. Now nearly a year older, Iggy has grown into a stunning young dog with soulful eyes that will absolutely melt your heart. He gets along wonderfully with both people and other dogs. While he may be a little shy when meeting someone new, it doesn't take long for his sweet, playful, and gentle personality to shine through. There is simply no reason this handsome boy should be growing up in a rescue. Iggy deserves a family of his own, a warm bed, and someone to love him as much as he will love them. He would make a wonderful companion for a lucky adopter willing to give him a chance. After surviving together in the mountains of West Virginia and spending the last year growing up together at the rescue, Iggy and his sister Izzy share a beautiful bond. They do not need to be adopted together, but if someone is looking for two wonderful companions, we can't imagine a more deserving pair. If you are interested in him, please fill out our adoption application found on our website at www.countryclubkennels.org, or feel free to call us at 540-788-3559.
Izzy
Meet Izzy! Izzy is a beautiful brindle Plott Hound mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. Her journey began in the mountains of West Virginia, where she and her siblings were found living as strays. They arrived at the Chance Foundation at approximately five months of age, and nearly a year later, Izzy is still patiently waiting for a family to call her own. While she can be a little shy when first meeting new people, Izzy is incredibly sweet, kind, and gentle-natured. She walks beautifully on a leash, loves other dogs, and truly doesn't have a mean bone in her body. Once she feels safe and comfortable, her loving personality begins to shine. We don't want to see this wonderful girl spend her life growing up in a kennel when she has so much love to give. Izzy deserves a family of her own, a cozy place to rest, and someone who will give her the chance she deserves. Izzy can be adopted on her own or together with her brother, Iggy, with whom she shares a special bond. While they do not need to be adopted together, we believe Izzy would thrive in a home with another friendly dog to help her continue building confidence and enjoying life to the fullest. If you are interested in her, please fill out the adoption application found on our website www.countryclubkennels.org, or feel free to call us at 540-788-3559.
Jax
Meet Jax! Jax is a handsome, soulful-eyed boy who we believe is a Labrador Retriever mix, possibly with some Mountain Cur, and is approximately two years old and 40 pounds. His beautiful eyes will cut right through your soul! Jax craves attention and affection, but it is clear that someone in his past was not always kind to him. He can be nervous about being petted on top of the head, but he absolutely loves belly rubs, chest scratches, and chin rubs. With time, patience, and trust, we believe Jax will continue to overcome his nervousness and blossom into the confident dog he was meant to be. He absolutely loves playing with other dogs and is very affectionate once he gets to know you. Jax is simply looking for someone willing to see the sweet, loving heart behind his cautious beginning. If you are interested in him, please fill out the adoption application found at www.countryclubkennels.org, or feel free to call us at 540-788-3559.
Dottie
Meet Dottie! Dottie is a sweet, 5-year-old Beagle mix girl looking for a new family to love. At about 33 pounds, she's the perfect size for fun adventures and cozy cuddles! Her family sadly had to give her up due to a divorce, but she is ready for her happy new beginning. Dottie loves to run and play, yet she's also a total cuddle bug. Her previous family says she even likes to snuggle with cats! She has been wonderful with other dogs and people, is housebroken, and is sweet as can be. Could Dottie be the missing piece in your family? If you are interested in this perfect, compact, pooch, please fill out the adoption application found at www.countryclubkennels.org, or feel free to call us at 540-788-3559.
June
June came to us from a very rural West Virginia shelter, where her chances of adoption were pretty nonexistent. She lived in a kennel there for close to a year with no socialization, mental stimulation or exercise. She was very shut down and mistrusting of handling. We were asked by another wonderful rescue group who works hard to save the West Virginia dogs if we could take them into the Chance Foundation. Because of her past, she is very shy around people. However, she is remarkably well mannered, and has a quiet, sweet demeanor that will be sure to melt your heart. She is dog friendly and would love to have another dog companion in her future home as it will help her learn the ropes of being a beloved pet and boost her confidence. She needs a patient, kind, quiet, and understanding household who is willing to give her the time and space she needs. If you can open your heart and home to her and watch her blossom, please fill out our adoption application found atwww.countryclubkennels.org, or feel free to call us at 540-788-3559.
Ace
Ace is a 3 year old golden retriever mix with a lot of energy to give! He was an owner surrender and was given up due to the owner having health issues. He can be a little leery of new people at first but warms up quickly. He gets along well with other dogs with proper introductions. He is not your standard golden retriever; he had a rough start to life. He may be protective in your home, and he can be naughty at the vet. He will require an experienced, not first-time dog owner. Given time and understanding you will come to find his amazing personality shine through! If you are interested in this handsome boy, please fill out our adoption application found at www.countryclubkennels.org, or feel free to call us at 540-788-3559.
Joey
Joey came to us from Gilmer County Animal Shelter all the way in Georgia! He is about 2 years old, and we were told he made his way to the shelter due to his owner passing away. He is a bit shy at first but warms up quickly. He is friendly with other dogs and enjoys running in the paddocks. He bonds quickly to his human and would love nothing more than to cuddle up on the couch and watch a movie with them. If you are interested in this cutie pie, please fill out our adoption application found at www.countryclubkennels.org, or feel free to call us at 540-788-3559.
Skipper
Meet Skipper! Skipper is a handsome hound with a heart as big as his floppy ears. Originally from West Virginia, this sweet boy may be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he feels comfortable, his playful and affectionate personality shines through. Skipper absolutely loves other dogs and enjoys making new canine friends wherever he goes. He is good-natured, gentle, and has never shown any aggression toward people or other dogs. One of his most charming traits is his hilarious facial expressionsespecially when he's running and playing, with his ears flapping in the wind! If you're looking for a loyal companion with a fun-loving spirit and a sweet soul, Skipper may be the perfect addition to your family. If you are interested in Skipper, please fill out the adoption application found on our website, countryclubkennels.org, or feel free to contact us at 540-788-3559/countryclubkennels@gmail.com
