Country Club Kennels is a one-of-a-kind boarding facility with locations in Fauquier and Orange County, Virginia. Depending on whether your pet's visit is for boarding, we provide:

Country Club Kennels is owned by Carla Nammack and operated by her and her wonderful, dedicated, and experienced staff, many of whom have been with us for over ten years. We are situated on 45 peaceful, country acres in Catlett which is in southern Fauquier County. We prefer to focus on quality over quantity, so please make reservations early as we book quickly.
 

 

 

 

Our number of guests are limited so we provide each of our special friends with all the time, attention and pampering anyone could possibly want. In addition to generous amounts of outdoor playtime (6-7x per day at no additional charge) ... we offer additional services and activities to include Pool Parties, Nature Walks, Pond Trips, Massage, Field Days and much more.

Carla Nammack

Carla started Country Club Kennels in 1996. She found herself in a position, like many people do, where she was in need of a good boarding kennel to care for her dogs when she traveled. After visiting and researching several kennels she was unable to find a kennel where she felt comfortable leaving her beloved four-legged, family members. It was at this point that she decided she would open and operate a different type of boarding kennel. Her goal was to have a boarding/training kennel where dogs could actually enjoy their time away from home, feel safe and loved and would pull their owners to the front door for their next arrival.

She opened Country Club Kennels in Catlett, Virginia in the beautiful countryside. The kennels are located in a peaceful, stress free environment and the dogs are treated as though they were our own. Most kennels charge extra for a dog to be taken outside for a bathroom break or exercise. Carla could never comprehend or accept how a kennel attendant could walk down the aisle and take out one dog but not another. Dogs don't understand finances and she felt it would be extremely stressful for the dog who was being passed by. Since 1996 Carla and Country Club Kennels staff have acquired quite a devoted following and have a reputation for running a first class operation where customers can leave their dogs and enjoy their travels without worrying about their precious pets.

The majority of our customers travel an hour or more to have their dog(s) board with us and state that they happily do so because they trust us to do all we can to ensure that their dog(s) have a great time, stay safe and come home happy! Carla is the Founder of The Chance Foundation (an all breed, dog rescue) and has been rescuing, rehabilitating, financing, and finding forever homes for dogs in need since 2000. She has dedicated her life to dogs and truly understands what it takes to keep them happy and healthy. Carla is semi-retired as of 9/2021, so we will no longer be offering training services. Country Club Kennels Staff:

Country Club Kennels staff are dedicated and devoted employees who truly enjoy working with dogs. They are experienced dog handlers and pride themselves in making each and every dog feel special and loved.

The staff builds bonds quickly with the dogs that board here and know them well. Our customers tell us that we make them feel like "family." We take this as quite an honor and feel truly blessed to be in a position where we can earn and keep the trust of our wonderful clients. In addition to taking care of our boarding customers, the CCK staff also provide loving care to our Chance Foundation dogs who typically range from anywhere between 10 to 15 dogs at any given time. With Carla's help they train, socialize, and give them the love and care that they so deserve. The staff are comfortable with all breeds and have the knowledge and experience to know how to help a dog adjust to a new environment where they will feel safe.

New Renovations

I am happy to announce that during January of 2016, Country Club Kennels underwent a major facelift/renovation! During the almost 20 years of operation, we have continuously strived to maintain and improve the grounds as well as the indoor facilities. This year we had beautiful, bright, epoxy floors poured in both of our kennel buildings. We also replaced all of our kennel runs with beautiful, Mason tempered glass front kennels which not only look great but we find they have less of a "kennel" appearance and minimizes any stress on the dogs. Of course, we still have both our "private" and "communal" bedroom suites offering an enriched luxury living space for the dogs that function more like a "bedroom" and offers the dogs a "home away from home".


My goal when I started Country Club Kennels back in 1996 was to offer an alternative to standard boarding kennels where dogs could actually enjoy boarding and customers could travel with the peace of mind of knowing that their precious pets were safe and having a great time on their "vacation".
We have always been told that we offer the best in services and value as all of our dogs are routinely taken out in very large, fenced exercise paddocks a minimum of 6x/day, fed 2x/day, checked over from head to foot 2x/day and given plenty of love and attention throughout the day. We have always been complimented on the beautiful, manicured, 44 acre property and all of the outdoor activities offered to our guests such as nature walks, pond trips, pool parties, treasure hunts and field days.
We continue to receive numerous compliments on the professionalism and dedication of our knowledgeable staff. Now, in addition, our indoor facilities can compete with the top of the line, upscale kennels found in California, New York and Chicago. However, we still offer something that they cannot……a beautiful, stress free, country environment where all of our boarding guests receive at least 6 off leash outings/daily, get to play with other dogs in playgroup if social and enjoy the sweet, fresh country air!
We do realize that the majority of our customers drive at least an hour to bring their pets to us and we are very grateful for that. They say that it is well worth the drive to be able to travel knowing their dogs are in the best of hands and that they are going to enjoy their time with us.
